JJodi meets……….a whale

While peering into the distance Jodi notices one of the islands seems to be bluer and smoother than the rest, and on further inspection the island appears to be moving, hey, thinks Jodi this could be the answer to the bear’s problems I’ll go and investigate. Jodi hops into his pod and flies off in the direction of the blue island. When safely on the surface of the island Jodi begins to disembark, suddenly there is a low penetrating rumbling sound, which gets louder and louder and louder followed by a huge explosion, Jodi and his pod are hurtled into the sky on a huge stream of water – this doesn’t seem like quite the kind of transport the bears might be looking for, he thinks, reflecting on his conversation with the disgruntled bear.

After a while Jodi and pod come back down to rest on the island. Ohhhhh, said the island, this was another feature that he was not expecting, nor, possibly, would the bears appreciate. ‘Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh’, moaned the island again ‘Aaaaaaaaaah hmm, Aaaaaaaaah, Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! Oh bother don’t you just hate it when you want to sneeze and it goes away’, right thought Jodi either something has changed quite dramatically on What! planet, or this wasn’t an island, so if not, what was it?.

Almost afraid to ask Jodi proffered the question, ‘Whale’ it said, ‘Blue Whale, Aaaaaaaaah, Aaaaaaaaaaahhhmmmm, ohhhh, if only I hadn’t gone visiting last summer I wouldn’t have caught this sneeze off the dolphin – he’s always getting flu these days, something to do with giving seminars on sustainable living to What! Planet’s inhabitants unfortunately their way of thanking him is to dive in and try and swim with him - passing on all their unfamiliar germs’, Jodi could see this was not a good state of affairs, a dolphin with the flu is bad enough, but when you’re a blue whale a sneeze can last a very long time and everybody knows about it too. The trouble with that though, thought Jodi, is, it could be a very powerful way of passing it on big time!.
